By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner would state that he belongs to backward class and in the year 1996, the Government of Tamil Nadu has acquired the land belonging to his family admeasuring to an extent of 2 acres comprised in Survey Nos.420/2A and 420/2B, situated in Jalagambarai Village, Perumapattu Post, Vaniyampadi Taluk, Vellore Sitrict for the purpose of providing house sites to Adi Dravidar. The petitioner would further state that his father died on 06.11.2006 and since the land has been acquired, the petitioner is not in a position to eke out his livelihood and at present he is doing agricultural labour https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

work. The petitioner would claim that the second respondent, vide proceedings dated 29.05.2003 stated that preference in Government Employment will be given to the persons, whose lands have been acquired and since the petitioner has studied up to 8th standard and also registered his name with the 3rd respondent, Employment Exchange, vide Registration No.VLD2003M00001546, he is entitled to get employment in Government service and in this regard, submitted representations dated 22.04.2015 and 19.05.2015 and since no order has been passed, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.Ravichandran Sundaresan, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of respondents.

4. This Court, in the light of the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's representations dated 22.04.2015 and 19.05.2015, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
