For Petitioner : Mr.B.Govindaprabhu For R1 and R2 : Mr.A.Gopinath Government Advocate (Crl.side) O RDER This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.02.2024 and consequently direct the second respondent to provide police protection to the properties situated at Chengalpattu MGR District, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Avadi Firka, Sekkadu Village Hamlet of Thandurai.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the respondents 1 and 2 and perused the materials available on record.

3. It is seen that the petitioner made a representation for grant of police protection to the subject properties. The Police protection can be granted only to the life and limb of a person. The police protection cannot be granted to any property. If there is any dispute in respect of the property between the petitioner and the third respondent, it is only civil in nature. Therefore, the petitioner ought to have approached the civil Court for appropriate relief.
