O R D E R

Mrs.P.Kavitha, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up and disposed of at the stage of admission itself.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.09.2018 in accordance with G.O.(2D) No.131 dated 20.11.2007.

3. The case of the petitioner is that she is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of ENT, Madras Medical College/Institute of Child Health and Government Hospital for children, Chennai. She made a representation to the respondent on 07.09.2018, requesting to transfer her to the post of Senior Resident/Assistant Professor, Department of ENT, Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College, Salem, as per G.O.(2D) https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

No.131 dated 20.11.2007. Since, the same evoked no response, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking for the aforesaid relief.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner so also the learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

5. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the representation of the petitioner dated 07.09.2018, may be directed to be disposed of by the respondent, on merits and in accordance with law and also in the light of G.O.(2D)No.131 dated 20.11.2007, within a stipulated period.

6. The learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent would submit that the representation though is a recent one, the same shall be considered, in accordance with law and also in light of aforesaid Government Order, within a stipulated period.

7. Hence, regard being had to the facts and submissions made, this Court disposes of the Writ Petition with a direction to the respondent to take an informed and considered decision on the representation of the petitioner, dated 07.09.2018, on merits and in accordance with law and also in the light of G.O. (2D)No.131 dated 20.11.2007, within a period of six weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, it is made clear that this Court has expressed no opinion on the merits of the representation. No costs.
