ORDER
The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondents 1 to 4 herein to permit the petitioner to attend to his duty as "Attender" in the office of the fourth respondent Co-operative Society and disburse salary to the petitioner from October, 2022 till date considering the representations preferred by the petitioner dated 09.01.2023 and 27.02.2023 to the first respondent.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that, despite 2/5
rendering 43 years of unblemished service, respondents 3 and 4 are not permitting the petitioner to attend duty. Requesting the respondent authorities to permit him to attend duty, the petitioner sent representations on 9.1.2023 and 27.1.2023. As the said representations did not evoke any response, the petitioner has been constrained to file this writ petition. He further submitted that ends of justice would be met if a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 9.1.2023 and 27.1.2023 as expeditiously as possible, inasmuch the petitioner is due to retire on 30.6.2023.
3. Mr.K.Suresh, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 4, would submit that, if four weeks' time is granted, the first respondent shall consider the representations of the petitioner dated 9.1.2023 and 27.1.2023 and pass appropriate orders.
4. In the light of the aforesaid submission made by learned Government Advocate, without going into the merits of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 9.1.2023 and 27.1.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 3/5
four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.Nos.13823 and 13825 of 2023 are closed.
