This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to register the complaint dated 03.10.2015 given by the petitioner and to give protection the petitioner and his family.

3. The petitioner belongs to Scheduled caste community. His elder son Karthick, aged about 26 years, an Engineering graduate fell in love with one Banupriya @ Priya, who belongs to Vanniyar Community. The parents of the said Priya opposed their love and arranged marriage for her with another boy. Hence, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

said Priya eloped with Karthick and married him on 23.09.2015 and they have also registered the said marriage on 25.09.2015. On 26.09.2015, they appeared before the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Ariyalur and lodged a complaint and the said Inspector of Police called the parents of Priya for enquiry but they did not appear. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition seeking to register the case on the complaint dated 03.10.2015 and to give police protection to the petitioner and his family members.

3. Considering the submission made, this Court directs the 2nd respondent police to conduct an enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner and proceed further in accordance with law. So far as the police protection is concerned, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders.

4. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
