PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the respondents to register the petitioner's complaint dated 05.09.2018 at the earliest point of time.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a case based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 05.09.2018.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is the Managing Director of the Company namely Sangamam Lisure Private Limited at Puducherry and Tamil Nadu. He further submitted that on 03.09.2018, when the petitioner went to the All Women Police Station, Sethiyathoppu, to see the petitioner's company staff namely one Mathivathani and at that time, one Sub-Inspector of Police namely Sivaraman violently behaved with the petitioner and also assaulted him and hence, the petitioner has sent a complaint to the respondent by Registered Post on 05.09.2018, but, so far, no action has been taken.

3. The learned Public Prosecutor has submitted that so https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

far the respondent has not received any complaint.

4. The typed set of papers filed by the petitioner shows that the petitioner has already sent a complaint to the respondent by Registered Post and the same has been acknowledged by the respondent on 07.09.2018. Therefore, the respondent is directed to enquire the said complaint and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then he has to register the case and proceed in accordance with law. In case, the enquiry does not reveal any cognizable offence, he has to direct the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum and get appropriate relief within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the aforesaid directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
