Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to forthwith remove the encroachments made by the respondents 5 and 6 in the water course body namely irrigation channel of Pappan Lake, which is situated at Survey No.48/1 at A.Vazhapadi, Salem District, by considering and passing orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 18.08.2020.

ORDER
(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.K.Selvaraj, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2.
2. The petitioner alleges encroachment in the water course
body.
3. Learned State Government Pleader submits that the authority would survey the land and depending upon the survey report, further steps would be initiated if encroachment is found, in accordance with law.
4. In the light of that, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
