ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioner and her family members.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner's husband is the district level in charge of a political party namely Viduthalai Siruthaigal Katchi for Nagapattnam District and hence he has participated in so many demonstrations. He further submitted that due to the said political activities of the petitioner's husband, the second respondent is harassing the petitioner and her family members.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that there is a complaint against the petitioner's husband as he is creating a law and order problem and only for enquiry purpose, the petitioner's husband was called and neither the petitioner nor her family members were subjected to any harassment.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the second respondent is directed to enquire the said complaint which is pending against the petitioner's husband and if the said enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, he has to register a case and proceed in accordance with law. Instead of doing so, he should not unnecessarily harass the petitioner or her family members.

5. With the aforesaid directions, this petition is disposed of.
