ORDER

By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The petitioner has come up with this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to pass final orders on the peace committee meeting dated 31.07.2018 with regard to the Temple Procession in his village within a time frame. 3.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner and other villagers have submitted a representation dated 18.09.2018 claiming the relief as prayed in this writ petition, but, the said representation is yet to be disposed of by the respondents 1 to 6. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

4.Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader taking notice for the respondents 1 to 6, on instructions from Mr.R.Suresh, Sub Inspector of Police, V.Kalathur Police Station, Perambalur, who is present before this Court today, submitted that the respondents 1 to 6 are arranging to conduct the peace committee meeting within a short span of time and the festival scheduled to be conducted on 21.09.2018 will take place little later, after completion of the meeting by providing sufficient opportunity to the petitioner as well as any of the interested parties.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court directs the respondents to conduct the peace committee meeting and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as any of the interested parties expeditiously.

6.Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
