O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J] This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to produce the petitioner's sister Loganayagi D/o.S.Dharani, aged 26 years, before this Court and set her at liberty forthwith.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that his sister Loganayagi, aged 26 years, went missing from 28.06.2021 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. On instructions, learned Government Advocate [Crl.side] submitted that, on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Vadapalani P.S.Crime No.618 of 2021 for "woman missing" was registered on 29.06.2021 and investigation is in progress.
4. In view of the above, we direct the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Vadapalani, to monitor the investigation in Vadapalani P.S.Crime No.618 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue is secured, she shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate XVII, Saidapet, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders. With the above direction, this Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of.
