This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent police who is the competent authority under the Special Act (SC and ST) Act to register and investigate the complaint dated 26.10.2015 on the file of the 2nd respondent police according to law by fixed a time limit. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. The petitioner belongs to scheduled caste community. Her husband belongs to a different community. It is submitted that her husband is humiliating her by mentioning her caste name and also harassing her in so many ways. Hence, she lodged a complaint as against her husband with the respondent police. Since no action was taken so far, the present petition has been filed.

3. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the second respondent to conduct an enquiry on the complaint dated 26.10.2015 given by the petitioner and deal with the same in the manner known to law, as early as possible.

4. This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
