ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 06.03.2024 against the Legal Heirship Certificate issued by the second respondent, within a time as fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. With the consent of both sides, the present Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself. Since no adverse order is to be passed as against the third respondent herein in this Writ Petition, notice to the third respondent is dispensed with.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner's grandfather Ammasikoundar died on 04.12.2025 and the third respondent by misrepresentation as if she is the deceased wife, had obtained the legal heir certificate from the second respondent whereas one Lakshmi is the legally wedded wife of Ammasikoundar. Hence, the petitioner filed an appeal before the first respondent to cancel the fraudulent legal heir certificate obtained by the third respondent, however the same is pending for more than two years. In the meanwhile, the third respondent is trying to alienate the property of the

deceased Ammasikoundar. Aggrieved over the same, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 06.03.2024 and to dispose of the same in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the third respondent herein, as well as any other interested parties, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
