The present criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the case on the complaint dated 16.06.2015 given by the petitioner.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he came to know that one Mr.Ravi, who is the owner of the Ranjith Electrical Company, borrowed a loan of about 8.5 crores from SBI Bank SME Guindy Branch by submitted forged documents. The petitioner, who is a reporter was sent to the said Ravi to gather the news regarding the loan on forged documents. When the petitioner went to the office of the said Ravi, at No.5 Railway Colony 1st Street, Nelson Manickam Road, Chennai, on 16.06.2015 with camera, one Gubendran and others who were sitting there, scolded the petitioner with filthy language and assaulted the petitioner and petitioner some how escaped from there. Immediately, the petitioner lodged a complaint as against them. But no action was taken till date. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on receipt of the complaint of the petitioner, C.S.R.No.1299 of 2015 has been assigned and the matter is pending for enquiry.

5. In view of the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the respondent to conduct enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 16.06.2015 in C.S.R.No.1299 of 2015 and dispose the same in accordance with law, as early as possible.

6. This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
