Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records of the order of the fourth respondent in Ka.No.1502/TNSTC(V)Ltd/Ve.Region/2017 dated 06.12.2017 and the third respondent in Letter No.123-A/L1/TNSTC(VPM)2016 dated 24.11.2017 and to quash the same and to consequentially direct the respondents to pay the interest at the rate of 18% per annum for the default period commencing from the date of retirement till the date of realization along with the rate of dearness allowances which the petitioners are entitled for. ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records of the order of the fourth respondent in 2/4
Ka.No.1502/TNSTC(V) Ltd/Ve.Region/2017 dated 06.12.2017 and the third respondent in Letter No.123-A/L1/TNSTC(VPM)2016 dated 24.11.2017 and to quash the same and to consequentially direct the respondents to pay the interest at the rate of 18% per annum for the default period commencing from the date of retirement till the date of realization along with the rate of dearness allowances which the petitioner is entitled for.
2. Heard Mr.V.Gowardhaman, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.T.Chezhiyan, learned Additional Government Pleader for the first respondent and Mr.M.Aswin, learned counsel for R2 to R4 and perused the materials available on record.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the interest at the rate of 6% for the terminal benefits of the petitioner has been calculated from 01.01.2015 to 31.03.2016 (from the date of retirement till the date of payment) and that has been paid by the fifth respondent to the petitioner through ECS on 27.06.2018 and hence, all the terminal benefits payable to the petitioner has been settled. 3/4

4. It appears that the interest allowed by the respondents are reasonable and the amount payable towards interest has also been settled. In view of the same, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
