ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for police protection to the life and limp of the petitioner and his family members. 2.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was working as a forester and later, he was promoted as Forest Range Officer. He found that many irregularities were committed by the officials working in the department and he started exposing the same. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner was harassed and disciplinary proceedings and an order of transfer was issued against the petitioner and the same became a subject matter of challenge before this Court and an order of interim stay was also granted against the order of transfer.

The learned counsel further submitted that since

concerned officials are not able to tolerate the various actions taken by the petitioner to expose the irregularities, they have now started engaging henchmen for the purpose of attacking the petitioner and his family members.

The petitioner gave a detailed complaint before the first and second respondents on 05.05.2019 seeking for police protection and the same was not considered and no action was taken. Hence, the present petition has been filed seeking for police protection.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the respondent police will take appropriate action after conducting enquiry.

Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to immediately conduct an enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 05.05.2019 and take action in accordance with law. If the situation so warrants, the second respondent shall also give police protection to the petitioner.

The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, accordingly.
