ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the 4th Respondent to rectify the extent of land comprised in Old Survey No.24/6 and New Survey No.88/4 in Patta No.68, based on petitioner's representation dated 25.02.2025 and dispose the same.

It is submitted that the petitioner seeks to rectify the extent of land comprised in Survey Nos.24/6 and 88/4 in Patta No.68 which actually comprises an extent of 1500 sq.feet, however shown as comprising only 62 sq.feet in Patta No.68. Petitioner filed a Suit in O.S.No.70 of 2012 before the 1st Additional District Munsif Court, Salem, which was decreed in favour of petitioner refraining the respondents therein from interfering with the peaceful possession of the property by petitioner. Petitioner purchased the subject property vide sale 2/6
deed dated 16.04.2008 and 11.03.2010 registered as Document Nos.2767/2008 and 1906 of 2010 on the file of SRO, Sooramangalam. Petitioner submitted a representation to the 4th respondent on 25.02.2025, for rectification/ modification of patta with regard to the extent of land, however, the same has not been considered by the respondents. Aggrieved, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

On this being pointed out, Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents would submit that representation of the petitioner dated 25.02.2025 would be considered and orders passed after hearing the petitioner and other interested parties within the time frame to be fixed by this Court, agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.
5. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation dated 25.02.2025 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested persons/stake holders, including rival claimants, if any, within a period of eight
(8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the 3/6
