Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying Writ of mandamus Directing the Respondents herein to close the functioning of liquor vending shop at Dr.Narasimhan Road(Nort Boag Road) T.Nagar Chennai - 600 017 or to relocate the same elsewhere and issue such further or other appropriate orders or directions as this Honourable Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and the circumstances of the case.

The petitioner has a sought a Mandamus directing the respondents to close the liquor vending shop No.718 at Dr.Narasimhan Road (Nort Boag Road), T.Nagar, Chennai - 600 017.

2. Mr.P.Arumugarajan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent/Tasmac has circulated a counter dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

15.10.2020 under cover of e-mail dated 16.10.2020 wherein the decision of the respondent to close the existing shop by relocating the same within a period of three (3) months from today is stated at paragraph Nos.4 and 5 in the following terms:

'4. ...... Nevertheless, TASMAC has now taken a decision to relocate the shop to new location.

5. I submit that we may require some time to complete the process of relocating the said shop, preferably a 3 months' time. '

3. In the light of the aforesaid, the mandamus sought for stands achieved and this Writ Petition is closed. Connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
