ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to consider his representation dated 23.06.2021 to enlist his name in the promotion panel for the post of Assistant Engineer within a stipulated time frame.

This Court heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and also perused the materials placed before it.

This Court, considering the limited scope of prayer

sought for by the petitioner and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation or the case projected by him in this writ petition, directs the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 23.06.2021 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner herein.

The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
