3. Mr.G.Ameedius, learned Government Advocate would submit that the proposed respondent is the competent authority and therefore, he will not have any serious objection in allowing the impleading petition.

In the light of the averments made in the affidavit filed in support of the miscellaneous petition and the submission made on either side, this miscellaneous petition is ordered and the 5th respondent - District Revenue Officer, Salem District, is impleaded as party respondent to the writ petition.
