PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records relating to the detention order dated 24/03/2025 passed by the second respondent in No.51/BCDFGISSSV/2025 and quash the same and direct the respondents herein to produce the petitioner's son namely Dhananchezhian, S/o.Elumalai, aged 24 years, No.29/28, Tamil Nadu Housing Board, 5th Main Road, Ayappakkam, Chennai-600 077, who is presently under going detention in the Central Prison, Puzhal, branding him as Goonda under Section 3(1) of the Tamilnadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Slum Grabbers and video Pirates Act 1982, (Tamilnadu Act 14 of 1982). When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.2673, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIII) Department, dated 13.05.2025, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
