The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned order of the Respondent in P.No.210/PRTC/Admn (Legal) 2006-2007 dated 14.08.2006 and quash the same and direct the respondent to appoint me as conductor based on my selection in the recruitment held in 1993.

ORDER

The petitioner prays to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned order of the Respondent in P.No.210/PRTC/Admn (Legal) 2006-2007 dated 14.08.2006 and quash the same and direct the respondent to appoint me as conductor based on my selection in the recruitment held in 1993.

2. The petitioner states that the Pondicherry Tourism and Transport Development Exchange called for a list of eligible candidates in the year 1993, for the post of conductor and his name was found in the list but, he was not given any appointment https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

order. When he approached the respondent's office, he was orally intimated that he will receive appointment order in due Course. After the said recruitment in the year 1993, no further recruitment took place till 2004. In the year 2005, fresh recruitment was made to the post of conductor by the respondent's office, since the previous selection was made considering the future vacancies the petitioner approached the respondent to consider his candidature and provide him appointment. Thereafter, the petitioner has filed a writ petition in W.P.No.No.743 of 2006 in the year 2006.

3. It is the further contention of the petitioner even though this Court has directed the respondent to consider his representation dated 21.09.2005 in W.P.No.No.743 of 2006, the same has not been considered. Aggrieved over the same the petitioner has filed his writ petition.

4.When the matter is listed today the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect. In view of the above statement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions is closed.
