The petitioner is presently working as Village Assistant. The next avenue of promotion is to the post of Village Administrative Officer. According to the petitioner, the respondents have not considered his case for promotion pursuant to the Government Order in G.O.Ms.No.570 dated 26.12.2014. The petitioner submitted a representation on 25.08.2014 requesting the first respondent to consider his case for promotion. The present request is to direct the first respondent to consider the representation on merits.

2. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 25.08.2014 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
