Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 & 5 herein to give police protection to permit the petitioner and his family members to participate, perform and conduct pooja to "Arulmigu Gangai Amman Jathirai" which is scheduled to be held from 07.05.2023 to 09.05.2023 at Pothala Kandigai Village, V.K.R.Puram Post-631205, V.K.R.Puram Panchayat, Thiruttani Taluk, Thiruvallur District based on his representation dated 27.04.2023 by appreciating the above stated facts.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 2 & 5 herein to give police protection to permit the petitioner and his family members to participate, perform and conduct pooja to "Arulmigu Gangai Amman Jathirai" which is scheduled to be held from 07.05.2023 to 09.05.2023 at Pothala Kandigai Village, V.K.R.Puram Post-631205, V.K.R.Puram Panchayat, Thiruttani Taluk, Thiruvallur District, based on his representation dated 27.04.2023.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 5.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the Writ Petition, this Court is inclined to direct the fifth respondent to conduct enquiry on the representation given by the petitioner dated 27.04.2023, after issuance of notice to the petitioner and the counter parties viz., the respondents 6 to 9 herein and pass orders on or before 07.05.2023, in accordance with law.

4. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to cost.
