Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents particularly the first and second respondents to take necessary action to preserve the public right of 40 ft. wide road, viz., Madha Koil 1st Cross Street, situated in Okkiyampettai, Sozhinganallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, comprised in Survey No.352/4 and consequently remove any obstruction to it by any other person.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) Mr.T.N.Rajagopalan, learned Government Pleader (I/c) takes notice for respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.V.C.Selvasekaran, learned counsel takes notice for the fourth respondent. 2.The petitioners made a representation on 01.09.2017 followed by another one on 05.09.2017 to the effect that the public road is being engaged by the third party apart from dumping garbage. Seeking appropriate action on the same, the present writ petition is filed.

3.Taking note of the pendency of the representations aforesaid, a direction is issued to the fourth respondent to pass appropriate orders on the same within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after due notice to the parties either by himself or through his subordinates.

4.With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
