ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the first respondent to dispose of an appeal filed by the petitioner on 12.03.2025 against the punishment imposed by the second respondent by order dated 31.01.2025.

Since in the appeal the correctness of the punishment will have to be agitated, it may not be proper on the part of this Court to examine the facts of the case. It is sufficient to point out that the petitioner was due for promotion as Block Development Officer in the panel 2025, but punishment of stoppage of increment for three years without cumulative effect had been passed and thereby deferring his promotion. Questioning this particular punishment, the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the first respondent A direction is given to the first respondent to examine the records and make every endeavor to dispose of the appeal within a period of eight weeks

from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. The writ petition stand dismissed. No costs.
