ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed not to harass the petitioners.

2. A counter affidavit has been filed by the first respondent wherein it has been stated that the petitioners are the close relatives of A9 and are residents of Old Washermenpet. An FIR came to be registered by the first respondent in Crime No.4295 of 2020 and on completion of the investigation, a final report has also been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, George Town, Chennai. The counter affidavit shows that the respondent police has taken statements under Section 161 Cr.P.C. from 27 witnesses. It is made clear that the petitioners are not shown as accused persons in this case.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the investigation has been completed and if in case any enquiry has to be conducted, the first respondent will issue a summon to the petitioners and thereafter, call them for an enquiry.

4. The averments made in the counter affidavit filed by the first respondent and the submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor are recorded.
