The present petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to investigate and register a case against one Prakash as per his complaint dated 30/10/2015.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that one Prakash forcibly kidnapped the petitioner in his car and took him to a remote place and got his signature in Rs.50 stamp paper by threatening the petitioner with knife. Hence, he lodged a complaint with the respondent police on 30.10.2015. Since no action has been taken, the petitioner has come forward to file this petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner is not co-operating for enquiry and if the petitioner co-operates for enquiry, necessary action would be taken.

5. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry and upon enquiry, if materials are gathered indicating commission of any cognizable offence, the respondent is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible. The petitioner is also directed to co-operate with the enquiry.
