The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to register a case on the petitioner's complaint dated 06.11.2015.

2. The petitioner herein lodged a complaint as against her husband and in-laws on allegation of dowry harassment. The said complaint was lodged on 06.11.2015. Since, there is no progress in the case, left with no other alternative, the petitioner came forward to file this petition.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that earlier, the petitioner had lodged a complaint to get back her sridhana articles. Pursuant to the same, sridhana articles were returned to the petitioner. 4. From the facts and circumstances of the case, it is seen that it is not a case of dowry harassment alone. There were some serious allegations as against the petitioner's husband and in-laws. Hence, the learned counsel for the petitioner has sought for a direction to conduct enquiry on the complaint made by the petitioner dated 06.11.2015. However, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that they would conduct enquiry on receipt of the report from the Social Welfare Officer.

5. In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, I am of the opinion that there is not need to give any specific direction to the respondent. Hence, recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this criminal original petition is closed.
