Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code praying:

(i)to appoint an Advocate Commissioner to oversee the further proceedings in C.C.No.1076 of 1997 before learned VIII Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai, with a direction to submit a report in due course of time with regard to the orderly conduct or otherwise of further crossexamination of PW-1, the complainant, on the 5th day of January 2012 and subsequently;

(ii)to direct the learned VIII Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai, to provide adequate police protection to the complainant, party-in-person, in C.C.No.1076 of 1997 before the learned VIII Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai on the 5th day of January 2012 and subsequently till the final disposal of the case;

(iii)to initiate appropriate disciplinary proceedings against the second respondent to ensure professional etiquette and orderly behaviour to the opposite party in C.C.No.1076 of 1997 before the learned VIII Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai, on the 5th day of January 2012and subsequently till the final disposition of the case.

O R D E R

When the matter came up on 16.03.2017, there was no representation on behalf of petitioner and therefore, Registry was directed to post the Criminal Original Petition on 21.03.2017 under the caption 'for dismissal'. Even today, there is no appearance on behalf of petitioner. Hence, this Court is constrained to dismiss the Criminal Original Petition for non-prosecution.
