This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to expedite and complete the investigation in Crime No.3 of 2022 within a fixed time.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondentPolice and perused the materials available on record.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a case has been registered in Crime No.3 of 2022 on 13.7.2022. The respondentPolice has neither completed the investigation nor filed final report. Hence, the petitioner is constrained to file the preent criminal original petition.

4. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent-Police filed a status report stating that the respondent-Police has taken effective steps to complete the investigation. Due to IP's

pertaining to Nigeria, Ethiopia and Azerbaijan, further progress could not be made in the investigation due to technical issues. Further fraudulent transactions happened through overseas and hence he seeks time to file a final report.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that the alleged transaction had occurred not within the country and the transactions having been made through overseas in the Banks in various countries, this Court is not inclined to fix time to complete the investigation. However, the respondent-Police is directed to complete the investigation as early as possible and file a final report within a reasonable time.

6. With the abovesaid direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
