PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to subdivide the land situated in Thiruvallur District, Ponnamallee Taluk, Kattupakkam Village in Survey No.292, Door No.439, New Door No.110/135 measuring about 1892 sq.ft., and issue a separate patta in the name of the petitioner. Heard both and perused the records.

2. The writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the third respondent to sub-divide the lands in Survey No.292, Door No.439, New Door No.110/135 measuring about 1892 sq.ft. and issue a separate patta in the name of the petitioner.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he became the absolute owner of the said property and was provided with electricity service connection, gas connection and ration card. His application dated 18.10.2013 for sub-division of the lands and issuance of separate patta has not yet been considered. Hence, the petitioner approached this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate submits that the third respondent is ready to pass appropriate orders on the application of the petitioner.

5. In the light of the said submission, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the application of the petitioner dated 18.10.2013 on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording opportunity to all necessary parties, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
