O R D E R

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 336, 318(3), 306 & 316 of BNS and the offences equallent to 381, 405, 418, 463 of IPC, in Crime No.55 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that the petitioner along with his co-employee had cheated a sum of Rs.88,00,000/- from the defacto complainant's firm. While they were working as Account Manager and Accountant, by creating bogus contractors, the money was routed to the personal accounts of the accused persons through UPI transactions.

3. Though the learned counsel for the petitioner states that it is a foisted case, the material placed by the prosecution prima facie indicates that the money was entrusted to the petitioner, who worked in the capacity of Account Manager and siphoned the money and therefore, custodial interrogation of the petitioner is required.

4. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
