O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for records sequel to the impugned order passed by the 2nd respondent in R.C.No.022624/A2/2022 dt.26.12.2022 and to quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to reinstate the petitioner in service with all consequential and monetary benefits.

The petitioner, who was working as Lab Assistant at the Government Higher Secondary School, Vembadithalam, Salem District is placed under suspension by the 2nd respondent by an order dated 26.12.2022 on the ground of that he was involved in a criminal case and was detained under judicial custody. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the petitioner has been subsequently enlarged on bail, till now the suspension has not been reviewed. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 27.04.2023 to review the order of suspension. Since the said representation was not considered and no orders are passed thereon, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

3. Mr.S.Periasamy, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that 2 / 4

though a larger relief has been sought for, the petitioner would restrict his prayer to the extent of the petitioner's representation dated 27.04.2023 being considered by the respondents and suitable orders are passed thereon.

4. Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 27.04.2023 will be considered by the respondents on merits and appropriate orders will be passed thereon within a period of six weeks.

5. Recording the said submission and also considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.04.2023 and pass appropriate orders thereon within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
