By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner would state that the petitioner is a retired Sub-Inspector of Police, who retired from service on 03.01.2014 and according to her, she has rendered sincere and unblemished service of nearly 33 years and also received Anna Medal from the Hon'ble Chief Minister as well as 158 rewards. The petitioner would further submit that since she was not given promotion, she had submitted several representations to revise the seniority in terms of the following Government Orders:
1.G.O.Ms.No.1681, Home (Police. V) Department, dated 12.10.1992. 2.G.O.Ms.No.844, Home (Police. V) Department dated 03.06.1997. 3.G.O.Ms.No.937, Home (Police. III) Department dated 21.07.1998. 4.G.O.Ms.No.15, Home (Police. V) Department dated 07.01.2010.
5. G.O.Ms.No.428, dated 21.07.1998.
6. G.O.Ms.No.1137 dated 04.09.2008 7.G.O.Ms.No.440, dated 05.06.2009.

According to the petitioner, as per the aforesaid Government Orders, time bound promotion should be given to Grade-I Police constable, who has completed five years of service and in respect of Sub Inspector of Police, who have completed 10 years of service, they should be given promotion as Inspector of Police. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that though in respect of some of the persons said benefits has been conferred, she has not been conferred with such benefits and in this regard, she submitted a representation dated 07.10.2013, followed by a remainder dated 17.08.2014 to the respondent and since, no response is forthcoming, came forward to file this writ petition.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would draw the attention of this Court to the order dated 04.03.2015 made in W.P.No.10402 of 2014 and would submit that in similar facts and circumstances, this Court has directed the official respondents to dispose of the representation submitted by one V.Sarojini and similar orders may be passed in this writ petition also.
5. Heard the submission of Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of respondents.
6. Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the facts and circumstances, directs the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 07.01.2013 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
