By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner while working as a Sub Inspector of Police, voluntarily retired from service on 28.02.2013 and according to her, she has rendered sincere and unblemished service of 32 years. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that though she is entitled to get further promotion to the post of Inspector of Police, she has not been promoted and in this regard, she has submitted several representations to consider her claim and pass orders in the light of the Government Orders. Since, no orders have been passed, she has also submitted one more representation dated 17.08.2013 and since no response is forthcoming, came forward to file this writ petition.
3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would draw the attention of this Court to the order dated 04.03.2015 made in W.P.No.10402 of 2014 and would submit that in similar facts and circumstances, this Court has directed the official respondents to dispose of the representation submitted by one V.Sarojini and similar orders may be passed in this writ petition also.
4. Heard the submission of Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of respondents.
5. Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the facts and circumstances, directs the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 17.08.2013 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
