ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to pay the petitioner's salary from July 2024 and to grant special Grade Teacher status with effect from 19.01.2020 with monetary benefits, and to promote the petitioner as
Head Mistress in the 5 th respondent's school with effect from 07.02.2012, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 19.02.2025 and 03.01.2025.
2. The facts of the case, in brief, are that the petitioner, a Head Mistress since 07.02.2012, has been on medical leave and has faced issues with the respondents regarding her leave and salary. Despite sending representations to extend her leave and request salary payment, the respondents have not taken action. The 4 th respondent has requested a medical examination, but the petitioner has not received any communication from the Medical Board. Thereafter, the petitioner gave representations on 03.01.2025 and 19.02.2025 requesting the respondents to pay the petitioner's salary from July 2024 and to grant Special Grade Teacher status with effect from 19.01.2020 with monetary benefits, and to promote her as Head Mistress in the 5 th respondent's school with effect from 07.02.2012. Since the petitioner is attaining her superannuation on 21.06.2025, she urged this Court to direct the respondents to consider her representations.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner, who retired on 30.06.2025, had submitted a representation on 19.02.2025 seeking promotion and such representation is pending before the respondents.
4. Learned Special Government Pleader would fairly submit that they would consider the representation of the petitioner on merits.
5. Without going into the merits of the case, this Court deems it appropriate to direct respondents 1 to 4 to consider the representation and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
