The petitioner is said to be the owner of the vacant land situated in Plot No.429 with an extent of 1800 Sq.Ft and Plot No.426 with an extent of 1800 Sq.Ft comprised in survey nos.1201/2A & 1201/2B at Mahapallava Nagar in Thaiyur Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Kanchipuram District. He is said to have purchased the said two properties by registered sale deeds dated 19.06.2013 and 31.08.2013 respectively. Seeking sub-division of the said property and consequent issuance of patta, he made an application dated 13.11.2014. Since the same has not been considered, the present Writ Petition is filed.

notice on behalf of the 1st and 2nd respondents. By consent of both sides, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final hearing. Taking note of the pendency of the application and without going into the merits of the representation, this Court is constrained to direct the 2nd respondent to dispose of the application of the petitioner, dated 13.11.2014 on merits and in accordance with law, after due enquiry by calling the petitioner as well as the third party if so required, and pass appropriate final orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
