This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to register the complaint of the petitioner dated 26.10.2015 and to investigate the same in accordance with law.

2.The petitioner herein lodged a complaint against one Srinivasan, Kempaiah and Muniraj stating that on 24.10.2015 the above said persons attempted to trespass into the petitioner's property with a tractor and JCB and abused the petitioner and his family members in filthy language and attacked them with deadly weapons and also threatened them with dire consequences. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint to the second respondent police. Since no action has been taken till the date, the petitioner has filed the present criminal original petition.

3.I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the dispute between the petitioner and the counter petitioners is purely civil in nature. But, the learned counsel for the petitioner denies the same and thus, sought for direction.

5.Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court is of the opinion that the second respondent is directed to enquire into the matter based on the complaint of the petitioner dated 26.10.2015 and dispose of the same, in accordance with law, as early as possible.

6.With the above direction, this petition is disposed of.
