Prayer:Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the respondent to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate police protection to the lives and liberty

of the petitioner, her husband Boopathi and the family members of the petitioner's representation dated 14.09.2020 within the time fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed for directing the respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband on the complaint dated 14.09.2020. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had fallen in love with one Boopathi and got married with him on 11.09.2020 and both are belonging to different community and as such the parents of the petitioners are threatening to do honor killing of the petitioner as well as her husband. Therefore, she lodged a complaint on 14.09.2020 and it is pending from the file of the 3rd respondent herein.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner eloped with one Boopathi and got married on 11.09.2020. Thereafter, the 4th respondent herein namely the father of the petitioner lodged a complaint before the 3rd respondent and the same was registered in Crime No.1531 of 2020. While pending the said FIR, the petitioner along with her husband appeared before the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Neelangarai, Chennai. Thereafter it was informed their presence to the 3rd respondent and after conducting enquiry and also on receipt of the undertaking given by the respondents 4 and 5 herein that they do not disturb the life of the petitioner and her husband, they were sent to their respective places. 4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

5.Considering the above submission and the undertaking given by the respondents 4 and 5 has been recorded before the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Neelangarai, Chennai thereby they undertake not to disturb the life of the petitioner and her husband, no further orders are necessary. However, if any fresh cause of action arose with the hands of the respondents 4 and 5, the petitioner is at liberty to lodge a fresh complaint on fresh

cause of action. On receipt of the same, the 3rd respondent is directed to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband in the manner known to law.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
