O R D E R
The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to accord police protection to the petitioner and his property based on the representation of the petitioner dated 30.08.2015.
2. The petitioner is owning a building named Sri Krishna Complex consisting of 30 rooms situated opposite to KSR College. He is also running a private students hostel in the building wherein the students of KSR College are staying. The petitioner has installed CCTV cameras in the building after due permission from the authorities concerned. On 21.08.2015, at about 2.30 am, some unknown miscreants trespassed into the building and stolen three CCTV cameras by cutting the cables and also stolen two https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
cell phones, worth about Rs.7000/- each from the students staying in the building. On 23.08.2015, the petitioner preferred a complaint before the first respondent. Thereafter, on 30.08.2015, at about 1.39 a.m., morning, three culprits came in a two wheeler and pelted stones and bear bottles at the window glasses of the house of the petitioner and also damaged the rear side glass of his car bearing registration No. TN 34 x 1213. The petitioner has made a representation on 30.08.2015 before the respondents to accord police for protection to him and his property. Though the representation is made as early as on 30.08.2015, no action is taken by the respondent till date. Hence, the petitioner came forward to file this petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of respondents.
4. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.08.2015 after affording the opportunity of personal hearing to him and pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
