This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to defreeze the savings bank account of the petitioner herein in savings bank account No.1587000400100686 with Punjab National Bank, Arakkonam Branch (4th respondent herein) based on the petitioner's representation dated 19.2.2025 forthwith.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the
learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent- Police and perused the materials available on record.
3. Despite this Court ordered private notice to the respondents 2 to 4, proof affidavit has not been filed by the petitioner so far. Further, it is seen that based on the instructions given by the 2nd respondent, the petitioner's bank account has been freezed. Since the 2nd respondent is out of the jurisdiction of this Court, this Court is not inclined to give any direction to the 2nd respondent.
4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
