Respondent PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to issue birth certificates to the petitioner's son, Shekh Rajesh and daughter, Safnam in pursuance to the applications bearing Nos.Va.Ko.A.Na.Ka.No.4027/17 and 4028/17 dated 24.08.2017 respectively within the stipulated time to be fixed by this Court.

Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 24.08.2017 wherein and whereby he sought for issuance of birth certificate to his son by name Shekh Rajesh and his daughter by name Safnam. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said application has not been disposed of so far.

Therefore, without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of only with a direction to the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 24/08/2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of seven days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
