ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 24.01.2026.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner submitted an application under the Right to Information Act, 2005 before the Public Information Officer on 18.04.2024 seeking information relating to a complaint and action taken thereon, which was rejected by the third respondent on the ground that the information sought pertains to third party information. He further submitted that the petitioner preferred a first appeal before the second respondent, however no order has been passed. He also submitted that the petitioner filed a second appeal before the first respondent, but the same was not considered till date and hence, the present Writ Petition.
4. Per contra, the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents 2 & 3 submitted that the appeal filed by the petitioner was returned
and whenever, the appeal is re-presented the appeal, the same will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed in accordance with law, within a reasonable time.
5. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsels on either side, this Court directs the petitioner to re-present the appeal, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such an appeal, the first respondent shall consider and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks therefrom.
6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
