(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 02.09.2020 for the offences punishable under Section 4(1) (aaa), 4(1)(i), 4(1-A) of T.N.P. Act, in Crime No.1821 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was illegally found in possession of 124 litres of I.D. Arrack and the same was seized by the respondent police.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that the petitioner has been suffering incarceration from 02.09.2020 and prays for grant of bail. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would vehemently oppose stating that the petitioner was illegally found in possession of 124 litres of I.D. Arrack. He would further submit that petitioner is a habitual offender who has been involved in five other cases. He would further submit that the petitioner was arrested very recently on 02.09.2020 and the investigation is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

pending.

5.Taking into consideration of the fact that the petitioner is a habitual offender and he has been involved in five other cases of similar nature and also considering the fact that the petitioner was very recently arrested on 02.09.2020, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
