O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the first and second respondents to forthwith defreeze petitioner's Savings Bank Account No.1190155000191230 maintained with the third respondent/Bank on the basis of the petitioner's representation letter dated 11.04.2025.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that based on the request of the second respondent/police, the petitioner's savings bank account maintained with the third respondent/Bank has been frozen in connection with the offence of online lottery without any prior notice or opportunity to the petitioner. He further submitted that the respondent police without giving any specif figure of amount, have frozen the entire amount of the petitioner. Hence, the present petition is filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the petitioner is involved in the lottery offence and therefore, a request was made to the petitioner's Bank to freeze the account of the petitioner and that the investigation is

pending.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and also perused the materials available on record.

5. Since no adverse order is being passed against the third respondent, notice to the third respondent is dispensed with.

6. It is seen that the investigation is pending and pending investigation this Court is not inclined to give any specific direction as sought for by the petitioner.

7. Therefore, this Writ Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
