Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the entire records leading to the detention of the petitioner's son Thiru.Karthick, S/o.Selvaraj, Male, aged about 24 years is presently lodged in Central Prison at Salem and has been detained under Act 14/82 as a Goonda vide detention order dated 27.05.2022 on the file of the 2nd respondent herein, made in C.M.P.No.10/Goonda/C2/2022 quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the body and person of the said detenue before this Court and thereafter set him at liberty from the Central Prison, Salem. ORDER

[Made by Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner is the mother of the detenu viz., Karthick S/o.Selvaraj, aged 24 years. The detenu has been detained by the second respondent by his order in C.M.P.No.10/Goonda/C2/2022 dated 27.05.2022, holding him to be a "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. The said order is under challenge in this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the 2/4

detention order passed against the detenu in C.M.P.No.10/Goonda/C2/2022 dated 27.05.2022, on the file of the second respondent is revoked vide G.O.Rt.No.4275, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 11.07.2022 and produced a copy of the said order. In view of the above, this petition is closed as it has become infructuous.
