in both writ petitions For R1 and R2 : Mr.C.Kathiravan Special Government Pleader For R3 : Mr.A.Kripakaran C O M M O N O R D E R These two writ petitions have been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to consider the representations submitted by the petitioners dated 27.12.2022 and to consequentially direct the respondents 1 and 2 to initiate proceedings in accordance with the Registration Act, 1908, in a time bound manner. 2.Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that there are more than 200 similar appeals pending before the 1st respondent and he would further submit that the 1st respondent would be able to dispose of the appeals filed by the petitioners preferably within a period of six months. 3.Mr.A.Kripakaran, learned counsel appearing for the 3rd respondent, would submit that the 3rd respondent may be given an

opportunity of hearing before passing any order in the appeal filed by the petitioners before the 1st respondent.

4.Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5.Considering the limited nature of prayer sought for in these writ petitions and the submissions of learned counsel for the respondents 1 to 3, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the representations/appeals, filed by the petitioners, dated 27.12.2022, and conduct an enquiry after issuing notice to the 3rd respondent, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
