This Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorari to call for the records from the Assistant Commissioner of Labour Salem made in P.G. No. 25/2015 dated 20.07.2015 and quash the same.

J U D G M E N T

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by N.KIRUBAKARAN, J) The 2nd respondent/workman after retirement claimed gratuity amount by filing appropriate proceedings before the authorities. The authorities passed an order, directing the appellant to pay https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the amount. Against the said order, Writ Petition was filed and the same was dismissed. However, the learned single Judge has given liberty to the 2nd respondent to move this Court for further directions, if the workman faced any difficulty in implementing the Writ Petition's order. Contempt petition has been filed by the 2nd respondent and the amount has also been deposited by the appellant, except the difference in interest. Since the amount has already been deposited and withdrawn by the 2nd respondent, nothing survives in this Writ Appeal. 2.Accordingly, the Writ Appeal is disposed of. No costs.
