This writ petition has been filed challenging the Notifications dated 07.04.2023 issued by the third respondent / Assistant Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Cuddalore.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, learned Government Advocate would submit that the Temples are now under the control of HR & CE Department. He would further submit that, if the petitioner is able to produce any proof to show that he is the hereditary trustee, the respondents are ready to withdraw the notifications issued in respect of the temples in which the petitioner claims to be the trustee. 3.

In view of the submission made by learned Government Advocate, this Court directs the petitioner to appear before the third respondent / Assistant Commissioner for enquiry on 22.05.2023 and produce relevant proof and the enquiry shall be completed within a period of six weeks thereafter.
