The petitioners seek for mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 02.06.2014, filed against the order of the Tahsildar, rejecting the request of the petitioners for grant of Patta.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the said appeal is still pending and not yet disposed of.

3. Heard both sides.

4. Therefore, this Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioners, as it is for the respondent to consider and decide the same. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the respondent to consider the said appeal filed by the petitioners and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioners as well as other interested parties, if any, if the said appeal is not yet disposed of. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
